If you are a candle addict like us (we’ll guess you are, seeing as you’re visiting our candle obsessed blog!) you’ll no doubt have an array of used/burnt out candles with just a tiny bit of wax left at the bottom of the jar or tin.
Our range of candles from Voluspa are especially suited to being re-purposed as stylish decorations for the home. Each candle in the range is designed to complement your style, whether that be minimal or full on colour and patterns!
In this blog we will show you how to remove the wax from your old candles in order reuse them as a decorative jar. We’ll also give you some super stylish examples of how to use your candle jars to enhance your home decor!
How to clean leftover wax from your candles
The easiest way to remove the wax from your candles is to freeze them. Place the candle in the freezer for 2-3 hours. Remove from the freezer, using a butter knife gently pop the remaining wax out of the jar. Wash the jar with warm, soapy water to remove any remaining wax, then wipe with a cloth to dry. Voila! You have a new jar ready to style your home.
How to style your new home decorations
You can use your new, repurposed candle in various ways that will compliment your home décor. These include as a holder for flower arrangements or plant pots, a jewellery holder, a container for makeup brushes, a desk tidy & loads more. The possibilities are endless!
